This is...

my trade secret

My Lola is there to help me out with all my craft endeavours.

Quite frankly, I'm not sure how I ever managed without her assistance. She is a great help to me and oversees all the fine details. You see her here examining the quality of the interfacing I am about to use.

Checking on the correct layout of pattern pieces. This is not really her forte, she gets a little distracted by the tape measure and trying to eat the pattern paper.

Hard at work at the sewing machine.

Knitting is an especial favourite activity. She is very particular about yarns and quiality testing. The ball above had not been in the house three hours.

My trade secret is Lola. She is the creative powerhouse behind this crafty munchkin.

high seas adventures ahoy!

This little pirate is planning some adventures.

Come November, I am packing up my life (by which I mean packing some clothes and my sewing machine) and doing what I should have done 10 years ago. Leaving this claustrophobic town to stretch my wings and see what is possible in the big wide world.

Davy Jones' Overlocker will be creating from London and gathering inspiration from Morocco and Spain and Pompeii and Berlin. The grey drizzle will inspire me to brighten my life with new and bright and shiny creations.

And If I come back, it will be to create.

It's a rashly made decision but a good one.
